OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that all people have:
- Need to care and be cared for and to feel they have worth to
themselves and to others.
- The right to choose to function at their optimal level of health
and independence in their own homes.
- A right to health care regardless of age, socioeconomic status,
race, sex, religious beliefs, or handicaps.
We believe that:
- The elderly should be treated with respect and dignity, and
should feel that the staff is dedicated to assisting them to the
fullest life possible.
- The dying requires supportive care and that patients should be
allowed to die with dignity in a setting which they choose.
We believe that families and the community:
- Have an integral responsibility in the client's overall care and
well-being.
- Should be supported in their efforts to care for family members
in the community.
We believe that home health care:
- Is a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centered care in the
home, recognizing the individual's progress toward his/her optimal
level of wellness.
- Can best be cost efficient and effective through cooperative
arrangements within the healthcare system.
- Should be provided through an agency which meets established
standards of care.
We believe that education and research:
- Are the means for improving the quality of care.
- Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the home health care
program.
